Recommended Equipment for use with the CPX12 to get the best performance out of it.
Remember the CPX can deliver way over 20Vpp, to a preamplier the microphone is connected to, without clipping.
Make sure the microphone preamp can handle that high voltages at the input and ideally does not clip before the microphone does.
A good choice is using a combo consisting of a line level interface and a seperate microphone preamplifier.
1)
Line level sound interface e.g.:
RME ADI-2 Pro FS R
w/ stand alone preamplifier such as:
Lake People F355
or
Focusrite ISA TWO
2)
or with a bit lower max. SPL handling while being compared with the combo above.
MOTU 828 interface
3)
As an alternative you can also start with a Dante Avio adapter or similar brand and external phantom power adapter. This solution is probably the entry level solution at a very affordable price point when no gain is necessary due to high SPL handling only. This not a solution for system setup.
DANTE - Solution (no gain)
Phantom Power Adapter e.g. Makie P48 + Dante Avio 1 or 2 input version ADP-DAI-AU-1X0/2x0
